February 2026

Cuties,

It’s my birthday in a few days - won’t you please consider donating to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (or a similar organization in your community) to celebrate me and my fellow Aquarians’ birthdays :)

Show time: I’m doing a show with the Bisque on 2/12 at 7pm at BCC as a guest of The Good Time! And then I’ll head right over to Bar-Prov at Young Ethel’s at 8:30pm. I’m doing another season of Bar-Prov on the 8:30 house team and as a reminder, it’s free and fun! It’s the first 2 Thursdays of the month, so come on down and watch some comedy.

Also, big news on the Officer Scott front (for those new here, a clown show I’ve been in for a few years, starring Sloan Brettholtz): we have an instagram! We’ll be doing a bunch of shows coming up in NYC (and later abroad), so give us a follow and you can stay up to date.

The good news is, because everything is so fucked in this country, I’m not having my usual crash-out about turning older. Small blessings! I’m really grateful for community, and for artists and friends, bread and roses, bravery and humor. Just to really pile on the cliches, here are three: there are more of us than them, this is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, and solidarity forever.

Hugs, and here’s to another year of kicking fascists in the face and wearing fake mustaches,

Guyssssss,

It’s the end of the year, isn’t that nuts?

Right to it: I have a show tonight at BCC with “The Good Time” at 7pm.

But most importantly - I have a show with The Bisque on Wednesday December 17th at 7pm. It’s raising money for the The Brigid Alliance and there are VOD tickets available if you aren’t in town! Please come! Laugh! Help people get access to healthcare! It will be so fun!

That’s it gang. Have a wonderful Holiday season - you deserve it,

love,

Deirdre

November 2025

Hey everyone,

Tomorrow is the last Young Ethel’s Bar-Prov of the season! It’s been so fun to meet other NYC improvisers and reconnect with some folks I know from the olden days of New York comedy (read: before COVID). My set is at 7:30, and there’s a jam at 10:30, with lots of fun sets in between - so come on down to watch. As always, it’s free, just by a drink (alcoholic or non).

I literally can’t believe it’s November - it’s been flying by. I’ll be traveling for a bit towards the end of the month so not too many announcements! See ya in December and maybe now is a good reminder to check out mutual aid in your community? Astoria Mutual Aid/Food Pantry is community run and has been going despite whatever hellscape is happening outside - maybe you have one in your community to.

We protect us.

Hugs and love,

Hey team,

I’ve got a show tonight at 7pm - Bar-Prov at Young Ethel’s - it’s free, just buy drink of some kind :)

AND my fellow castmates at tabletopnotch are participating in a really funny charity event for 826NYC! They are an awesome local organization that gets kids (and adults) into creative writing and are particularly focused on under-represented schools. Everyone deserves to tell their own story, and the classes they teach empower kids, particularly young black and brown kids, to think and write creatively. We got involved because they teach a Dungeons and Dragons writers class - and we love when nerds get encouragement <3

The event is called Trivia Night for Cheaters and it’s on October 7th! We’re raising money so we can cheat at trivia (and the money goes to 826NYC). The more money we raise, the more “cheats” we have access to - we are all very competitive people so we need that money. I mean, blah blah blah it’s for charity and the great work 826NYC does but we want to WIN. Our team is The Owlbearable Weight of Massive Talent (niche) and we are almost at our 2nd stretch goal, so consider donating :-)

And finally, The Bisque is hitting the road! On Saturday November 1st, we’ll have an 8pm show at Kismet Improv in Pawtucket, RI. It’s not on the website yet, but mark your calendars if you are in the area.

That’s it for now! Keep your chin up everyone - be sturdy and full of hope,

DM

An owl bear is a mythical DnD creature (this is a little baby one designed by a talented fan of the show) and the rest is a reference to the 2022 Nic Cage/Pedro Pascal film of a similar title
