January 2024

Hi gang!

Happy New Year - we are off to the races in 2024 with lots of shows.

Tomorrow, I’m with The Bisque in The Good Time at Brooklyn Comedy Collective (BCC) at 7pm. Tickets are only $10 and we love the Good Time, they always get the best improv teams in NYC for their shows.

Then, on Saturday January 27th at 9:15pm, I’m in my dear friend Sloan Brettholtz’s show, Officer Scott: Too Much Isn’t Enough at Brooklyn Art Haus. Sloan pitched the show to me like all I had to do was a lil song and dance, a lil improv, easy peasy. NOPE - it’s a full fledged, wild-ass, queer extravaganza with quick costume changes and audience participation and DANSE. You’re gonna wanna be there.

On the 30th, The Bisque has our flagship show at Young Ethel’s at 7pm. There’s no tickets but it’s a one drink minimum and the money will go to the Brigid Alliance, an awesome organization that provides travel, food, lodging, child care and other logistical support for people seeking abortions. We’re honored to continue partnering with them and hope lots of folks will come out for a night of comedy that supports access to healthcare.

That’s January! I’m back on stage bebeeeee.

Also, we got a new, NSFW sketch from No Worries If Not - my cute and talented boyfriend Steven Czajkowski co-stars with me and the hilarious Lane Kwederis. Caroline Ulwick wrote the sketch and it was her swan song for our team since she now writes on After Midnight on CBS! We miss her but she is crushing it in her big girl writer job! The rest of the NWIN gals also killed it on this sketch and I can’t wait for making more silly videos with them this year!

okie see you in January, byeeeeeee -

December 2023

Hi team and Happy Holidays,

December is a busy time of year, but I try to take time to reflect on how grateful I am for my family and friends. And this year especially, I’m thinking a lot about peace on Earth, goodwill to men. Let's to do what you can to actually ensure that peace, even in small ways, like helping our neighbors and calling our congress people.

In dumb comedy news: New No Worries If Not, video dropped! I’m acting in this one, alongside by Loser Boy teammate, Dana Patrice. Check it out.

I’ve got a couple of shows coming up in the new year but I’ll tell you about those in January! Keeping this letter short and snappy so you can get on to cookie baking - See you in 2024!

October 2023

Hey gang,

Gonna keep it light, because you don’t subscribe to my updates for my hot takes.

I’m still having a blast on tabletopnotch! We’re only a few episodes into our western/fantasy campaign Brunkhollow, so it’s not too late to catch up. Watch me live on Twitch and TikTok every Sunday at 7pm ET, but also in podcast form and on Youtube later in the week. Check out all their links here. Like and subscribe, etc - you can even subscribe for free on Twitch if you have Amazon Prime! Yes, I get paid to play Dungeons and Dragons!

My all-lady sketch team, GOLD Comedy’s No Worries If Not, has been selected as finalists in several festivals! Spanx for Nex (which I shot and acted in) was selected for New York Short Comedy Film Festival on November 5th. I’ll let you know if we win anything! This weekend (on the 21st), Ducksession (which I shot) was picked for NYC Sketchfest at the PIT. Check out the videos below and if you are in town, come on down to the screenings!

In Bisque News: I’ve got an improv show on Thurs, Oct 26th, 7pm at Brooklyn Comedy Collective with The Good Time. Check out tickets here! It’s gonna be a good time (get it?)

Byeeeeeeee,

September 2023

Hey everybody,

Stuff is cooking! It’s cooking with gas!

It wasn’t ready to be announced last month, but I’m now a regular cast member of tabletopnotch! It’s official - Welcome to Brunkhollow! We just started a brand new campaign, set in a Wild West/fantasy world. It’s a pretty cool story and still early enough to jump into the action and not be behind. TTN streams live on Twitch every Sunday at 7pm ET, but is also in podcast form and on Youtube. Check out allllll their links here - I’m playing with some amazing improvisers/nerds :)

For all-lady sketch team, GOLD Comedy’s No Worries If Not, I wrote, edited, acted in and shot our sketch. If that feels excessive, it was. Still, I’m proud and thrilled my team supported this lil fever dream of a sketch. Inspired by my teammate Nora Walls’ real life obsession with Vanderpump Rules (which I had never watched until I began writing this) and teammate Maggie Maxwell’s real life baby shower - this MasterClass sketch was born. Nora is my muse and the team decided to contact Maggie's dad and make sure we got a bunch of items on her registry. It was fun!

In Bisque News: I’ve got an improv show on Thurs, Oct 26th, 7pm at Brooklyn Comedy Collective with The Good Time: Check it out here! (but I'll remind you next month).

Zipline Media is also crushing it - extremely busy and shooting awesome stuff. I’m particularly proud of these series videos we did for Gutenberg! The Musical with Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells. We did this and also this (a real life TV commercial). Look Ma - I’m a camera operator AND a producer!

Till next month,

D
